After a wonderful shoot on Thursday, followed by a statuatory holiday Friday, I almost forgot there was a travesty game on Thursday. Yes, Quebec was released, temporarily, from the imperialistic Yankee control (much like the situation in Iraq), played the mighty Canucks (not Ducks, thankfully), and shocked the Bert-accu-scoreTM for the game, registering a 5-3 mark, upsetting the future Stanley Cup Champions, where the expected result was 6-3 for the guys not held captive by the evil American empire.
Well, the game was played November 10, one day before Rememberance Day, whose date was chosen to commemerate our glourious dead. As such, Vancouver’s goal total is reduced by one, giving 5-3 for Vancouver. And, as a freak act of God, the rain stopped late afternoon to reveal clear blue skies, bucking the 5 month all rain trend the lower mainland gets, thus reversing the weather fortune, and thusly, reversing the scores, converting the score to be 5-3 for the Nordiques, which gives us

As for our next game, tomorrow at 7:00 PM, we have the team with inflated success, along with all the geritol you could ever hope for. Yes, the Red Wings will be wheelchaired into GM Place to face the mighty Canucks.
