This post is going to be about hockey. And no, surprisingly enough, it’s not September yet. Anyhow, Vancouver Canucks GM Dave Nonis on Friday night, just before the NHL entry draft, pulled the trigger to bring Roberto Luongo to Vancouver, along with Lukas Krajicek and a 6th round draft choice, in exchange for Bryan Allen, Alex Auld, and Todd Bertuzzi.
NOT BERTUZZI!!!
Mind you, aside from losing Bertuzzi, the trade still does not sit well. The Canucks still have yet to now sign Luongo. Though Vancouver would seem as a favourable city to play in, TSN caught up with Luongo who appeared no less than dejected to go to the most beautiful city in the world. Git. Nonis, interviewed after making his first draft selection Saturday, spoke hopefully, though his tone revealed his doubts.
So what can this mean? I sure as hell hope that Nonis didn’t give Bert away for near nothing. Otherwise, can you say riot at GM Place?
That is all.
