Normally one would head north to ski at Whistler. But, if one stops at Squamish along the way, this is part of the view to take in:

Now mind you this is an hour drive from home, but views just as stunning, and even more stunning, are abound throughout this giant province of ours. This particular view is from Shannon Falls Provincial Park, looking across to the mountains the other side of Howe Sound, just south of Squamish.

Nothing like getting away from it all after a hellish week.
